The September 2024 Community College Services Legal Update is now available.

Notable decisions and actions in this issue include:

• The U.S. Department of Labor acted within its authority when adopting the 2019 Minimum Salary Rule under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
• Texas Election Code provision making it illegal for a person to harm a candidate or influence an election by representing a campaign communication came from a source other than its true source is unconstitutional.
• The Texas Education Agency repealed and adopted regulations addressing Early College High School (ECHS) and Pathways in Technology Early College High School (P-TECH) programs to update and consolidate the requirements.
