About
TASB offers high-quality expertise and resources to Texas community colleges.
The Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) is a voluntary, nonprofit, statewide educational association established in 1949 to serve local Texas school boards — the largest group of publicly elected officials in the state with more than 7,000 school board trustees. TASB has served community colleges since the organization’s inception in 1949, originally as entities governed by member school boards and later as independent educational institutions, with the first community college board joining in 1974.
