Notable decisions and actions in this issue include:

• The U.S. Supreme Court held that servicemembers are entitled to use educational benefits earned separately under two GI Bills in any order up to the statutory cap.
• The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board adopted new regulations relating to the implementation of the new community college finance system, in response to statutory changes made during the 88th Legislative Session.
• The Texas speaker of the house issued 68 interim charges for House of Representatives committees to consider ahead of the 89th Legislative Session.
